How did you get involved with Legends Boxing? Let’s hear the story behind how you became a franchisee.

Jared and Lynette Fields have been married 17 years, and have three children. These two fitness gurus fell in love at a young age with a common goal and hope to help change the world for the better. Their journey with Legends began when Jared joined to fight in the Legends Executive Fight Night. They both believed they could create an amazing tribe with them in their favorite city, Austin. Austin gave them a place to belong. Which is our main core value-BELONG. They opened their first gym in South Austin in December 2019. Yes, right before the crazy pandemic. They had to close the doors to the gym for a month, but Jared and Lynette are fighters. Against some odds, they reopened and kept at it for the staff and their community! And they will continue to fight!

Tell us a little bit about who you are outside the gym. You can mention your family, pets, hobbies, any work you do outside of Legends Boxing, etc.

Jared and Lynette love to go outdoors with our kiddos. They fish, hike, paddleboard, run races, and love getting to the woods and beach as much as possible, as it is so healing. They have fun with their mini “farm” that consists of two cats, a golden doodle, two bunnies, beta fish, and bearded dragon. They both have run several races; their favorite being Spartan races. A couple years ago, Lynette was fitness competing while Jared stepped in the ring.

Lynette has been diving into graphic design, and Reiki/yoga on the side, and loving it!

Jared owns a large successful real estate group, The Fields Team with REAL in Utah. A lot of his business genius comes from years of experience with Law School and developing his team! Failure is not in this man’s vocabulary!

What’s an interesting or unique fact that people may not know about you?

We LOVE all genres of music and going to festivals! We also have a music room at home full of instruments, as we used to be band/choir nerds.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received that you’d like to share?

Lynette- My mom would always tell me, “Leave it better than you found it.” And I’ve always tried to do just that. Hopefully, I leave the world a better place than I found it.

Jared- In a very special one on one, I asked Gary Keller how he lives his life so balanced. He said there is no such thing as living life well balanced. Life is about “counter-balance”. How do you know you’ve gone to far if you don’t try to push the pendulum one way or the other? That is how you learn boundaries. Life is about experiences and pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone. To do that, it can’t always be “balanced”, BUT it can be relatively consistent. That’s how you build success.

Can you share one book that’s made an impact on you or changed your life?

Lynette- Green Lights by Matthew McConaughey

Jared - Atomic Habits by James Clear

What’s your favorite exercise or workout at Legends Boxing? What exercise or workout do you find the most challenging?

Lynette - I love working on the heavy bag. 4x4 is always a favorite, and also the most challenging for endurance conditioning.

Jared - Bag work with HIIT training. Squat party!

Anything else you’d like to share?

We have a vision to open 8-12 gyms in Austin! We want to impact the community of Austin and to do that we need to be the first area out of Utah to dominate a market.

We really appreciate Legends giving us the opportunity to provide this amazing tribe for the city of Austin!
